Why is designing so complicated?

So right now I am currently trying to create a business card design that I am happy with, preferably a few so that I can have a variety of designs to make my work look more interesting and varied. So far however my brain seems to be failing me. I have only come up with one possible, rough design so far and that is it. I have been at this for a few days and this is all I have come up with. This is why I do photography guys!

Any way this is what I have so far:

See not that great, it is OK but doesn't really grab that much attention in all honesty. The photos on this are from my Seven Deadly Sins series that I did for my final term at University. We had to do a minimum of 8 final pictures so I also included another picture which I titles 'Untainted'. The sins in order are Envy, Wrath, Sloth, Gluttony, Lust, Pride, Greed and finally Untainted at the end there.

But yes this is the product of all my hard work, I really don't have a knack for this, may just find a graphic designer to work with who won't mind helping me come up with a design.
